Not nice at all tasteless chips and fishcake rang the restaurant up and the girl I spoke to was useless and said we can't do anything about it . Avoid this place it's really expensive it cost me just short of £7 for half a box of chips and a tiny fishcake and the service is terrible .

Called in on the way home from Whitby, remembering what fish & chips were like from here a couple of years back so was looking forward to a good meal, the cod and homemade fish cakes were excellent but unfortunately the chips were very dry, and hard, possibly been kept warm for a while. Will call in here again but only have fish next time as it’s cooked while you waited.

Stopped by on my way back from work they had a ramp so I was able to get there in my wheelchair. Incredibly welcoming staff very friendly and considerate.

Little pricey but really good food, half hour drive on way home from Bridlington. You can order on line but it’s a bit of a fuss, worth ordering half hour in advance because although it’s quick service there can be queues at busy times.

Decent fish but more than half the chips were this weird dark brown colour and gray and powdery inside and tasted weird, bit of a letdown for £13-£15

Not been for years and certainly can tell the difference, price is very expensive compared to hull. Overhaul was good but was expecting better, found the fish on the small side for a large , asked for fish fritter the lad had no idea what it was and offered us spam.

The place was very busy, which is a good sign of a decent chip shop. Fantastic gluten free options. Tasty food. Helpful staff. Recommend this place.

Oh dear something is going wrong here. I go to Brid for a walk just so I can get these fish and chips, have done for years. Today though was a sad day. Miserable service, the girl could hardly pick her feet up when walking behind the counter the counter was an absolute disgrace and there were beans all down the front of the counter that she ‘had not got round to yet’. This is how reputations are lost, please address this.

Dropped in after spotting this chippy sells gluten free items while we were over this way for a rugby match. Parking out the front & some tables & chairs on the front elevated balcony outside the shop. Despite being very busy, queue waiting for orders, staff were friendly & helpful with order & subsequently with cutlery & salt & vinegar. Even have GF vinegar option. Husband had GF chips, battered sausage & onion rings & said they were delicious. The rest of the family had fish, chips & peas and all were decent portions and tasty. Highly recommend a visit. Not cheap though (although not sure any chippies are these days), but you could have a fish meal Inc fish, chips & peas/beans/gravy/curry for £8.99 which isn't bad. Looks like they are open 11.30-20.30 daily.

Expereinced this summer 2024 Every few years or so my nana and grandad take me with them here we are from York. We was used to this been Harpers but shocked to see it rebranded. I have no idea if it's the same company but changed names. Staff are very friendly look like they are enjoying their jobs I can say I haven't been to many fish and chips shops where they are actually happy to be there most of the time it's a job and they can't wait for their shift to end not here at Deep Blue. Food is identical to when it was harpers. Good job.

We've visited here for years and it's always been outstanding. Today, not so much. I don't know when the chips were cooked, but fresh they were not. They ended up in the bin. My partner had fish, it was a brown pink and he described it as tough. Got overcharged, tho this was quickly rectified. Feel disappointed in our visit I'm sad to say.
